The twelfth stage of World Series superbike was perhaps the most dramatic in the course of the championship, especially for its leader Max Biaggi (Aprilia Racing Team), Marco Melandri (BMW Motorrad Motorsport) and Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team). In the first race Max Biaggi (Aprilia Racing Team) won on the eve of the podium he was able to regain the lead after a rapid start Sykes, who in the course of the race was not enough rubber to reach the podium.
Perhaps the most unfortunate for the race was Italian Marco Melandri, he twice in the course of the two races found himself in the gravel. First podium consisted mostly of pilots Aprilia Biaggi (Aprilia Racing Team), Laverty (Aprilia Racing Team), Davies (ParkinGO MTC Racing Aprilia). However, the second race was the not the best for the "former champion" Max Biaggi (Aprilia Racing Team) emitted from the track. But we must pay tribute to the veterans of the character, as well as Carlos Checa taking off from the road, Max was able to get back on track and continued the race, finishing 13th.
Second podium between a divided pilots Chaz Davies (ParkinGO MTC Racing Aprilia), Eugene Laverty (Aprilia Racing Team) and Leon Camier won the first podium for the team in the league (FIXI Crescent Suzuki team).
After twelve stages in the overall top three as follows: Max Biaggi has 318 points, Marco Melandri 308.5 and 291.5, Tom Sykes, the minimum gap in the fight for the championship title makes the fight even more interesting.
